Sugar paste by hand against your hair growth so that when the hair is removed in a flicking motion it’s pulled out by the follicle in the direction of hair growth. This drastically reduces the occurrence of hair breakage, painful ingrown hairs, and also allows us to remove smaller, harder to grab hairs..

If hard wax is being used, a thicker amount of warm wax is applied and allowed to dry. No cloth strip is applied. The wax is flicked to allow the wax specialist to grip it, and it is then pulled off quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. Hard wax doesn’t adhere to the skin as much as soft wax, and is therefore used on more delicate areas such as the bikini area, underarms and face.

Painful is a strong word. I prefer uncomfortable. Waxing or Sugaring can be very uncomfortable depending on your anxiety level. The first time always feels more uncomfortable due to the anticipation and the size of the hair bulb. I'm not going to lie, waxing or sugaring pulls the hair out by the root so there is discomfort involved but with the right Hair Removal expert at Bare Fruit Waxing & Sugaring Studio, it will be minimal. There are professional methods to reduce discomfort when receiving an epilating treatment including the type of wax being used. Keeping a regular hair removal routine will eliminate "pain"

It can still be done wearing a fresh tampon. For sugaring virgins, we suggest not to book a brazilian sugaring three days prior to or three days after your period. Please know it may be slightly more uncomfortable during this time as the area is more sensitive. Some clients take Advil before their brazilian sugaring and say it helps to take the edge off.

No worries, you won’t be waddling out the door when you are done, if you choose a good hair removal expert. You might be tender to the touch after your very first wax. This will depend on how coarse your hair is. Sugaring is different because it is organic it doesn't adhere to your skin and once the hair is removed , that's it!

I don't recommend it. Shaving cuts the hair at the surface of the skin and may make the next waxing or sugaring session unnecessarily painful. When the hair is pulled out by the root, a new one needs to grow. When on a regular wax or sugar schedule the bulb isn't given a chance to grow large because we are always removing the hair. When you shave you have to wait for the hair to grow long enough to be pulled out by wax or sugar and this allows the hair bulb to continue growing making it larger. Don't worry the hair that grows back in between treatments will be softer and thinner. Just wait.

Are you still confused about brazilians? I'll give you the run down. Brazilian Sugaring involves removing the hair from your vulva and pubic mound from front to back including in between your butt cheeks. You can leave some hair if you choose or go completely bald, it's up to you. Don't be shy this might be your first time, but it's not mine! I've heard it all.If you are too nervous to go all the way Bare Fruit also offers a less brazen option, the Bikini Line, which involves anything outside the panty line above, to the left, and to the right. Try it first! As an trained and highly experienced hair removal expert, I have performed more Brazilians than I can count so don't fear, any questions you have don't hesitate to ask and we will work together.

Good News is the more you wax/sugar the less it hurts!

That's a myth.. There is no way epilating your hair can darken it's color!! The only way to change the color of your hair is to dye it. In terms of making it thicker, it is quite the opposite. The hair being pulled from the root allows for new "baby" hair, soft and thin

Well the first reason is to remove hair, but I want to go a little further and explain why you should continue to epilate. Waxing or Sugaring regularly, every 4 weeks, slows down your hair growth and may eventually stop it all together because the longer you wax the less hair grows back. It is also the best temporary hair removal method. Waxing or Sugaring exfoliates your skin by removing a layer of dead skin cells and helps prevents discoloration. It last longer than shaving and pulls the hair out from the root (epilate) allowing for smooth, soft skin.
