What should I expect at my Brow Lamination appointment?
After you arrive to you Brow Lamination appointment your brow artist will give you a mini consultation to confirm if the brow lamination treatment will meet your needs.
If it does, your brows will be brushed into place, held with a brow bal, next a thick layer of solution will be applied to coat all your hairs, making them flexible and soft.
A 2nd solution will be applied after the first is removed, this is the laminating process which seals the brow hairs into place. Afterwards, we apply henna or tint then shape your eyebrows to your preference.
Finally a nourishing oil is applied which should be kept on for the “no wetting” period of 24 hours.
What is the Pre Care for the Brow Lamination Treatment?
Avoid any topical creams such as retinol or aha, bha to avoid uneccessary sensitivity.
Allow your brow hairs to grow for at least 3 weeks.
Do’s and Dont’s | What is the aftercare for Brow Lamination?
- Use the Spoolie provided in your after care kit to brush the hair into place.
- Avoid Wetting your brows for 24 hours.- water deactivates the lamination
- Apply the Lamination oil before bed- Daily after the first 48 hours - Available for purchase
- For the 1st 24 hours; Avoid excess rubbing and try to sleep on your back
- NO water- No Sauna, No Sweating, No Steam Rooms.
My brow hair isnt in place anymore, What do I do?
Brow Lamination is not permanent – It requires minimal maintenance to keep the brow hairs in place. The process makes your hair more manageable. The treatment breaks down the the bonds in your eyebrow hairs so that you can easily tame them and make them look exactly how you like. You can use a brow spoolie to brush them into place in the morning – Voila! Just like that your brows are back in shape.
Can I wear Makeup on top of Brow Lamination?
Makeup can be applied to your Brow Laminated brows, after the first 24 hours. Make sure that your eyebrows are maintained by booking your next brow shaping appointment in 3 weeks. We recommend products that do not clog your pores, such as our Bare Fruit Waterproof Brow Pen or Brow Powder.
To really enhance your brow and maintain your brows in between appointments, applying Bare Fruit Brow Freeze is a must have!
Am I Eligible for this treatment?
Brow Lamination is an amazing treatment available to almost all clients : Except those who:
- Very Dry Skin
- Active Acne around the brow area
- Recent chemical peel or microdermabrasion or microneedling or laser treatments.
- Any hormonal conditions that can cause hair loss
- Brow Lamination is a chemical treatment and should be viewed as such; if you are sensitive please let us know before the service begins
How can I make my Brow Lamination last as long as possible?
Cleanse your brow area properly with a gentle oil-free cleanser and Apply your Lamination Oil Nightly to hydrate your eyebrow hairs.
