NeoClear By Aerolase Is A Quick, Two-Step Treatment.
Step 1
The entire affected area will be treated with laser light in order to eliminate P. acnes bacteria on the skin and help control possible future breakouts, while also minimizing pores and smoothing the tone and texture of your skin.
Step 2
Any current breakout will be addressed by applying laser energy directly on each visible acne lesion to reduce inflammation and promote quicker clearance.
Aftercare
An at-home skin care regimen including a face wash should be followed as directed by your treatment provider. Once your acne is cleared and controlled, you may need to follow up with more treatments if the condition returns. The need for aftercare will vary from person to person, with some patients having longer periods of clearance than others.

When Will I See Results?
Everyone’s skin is unique and therefore reacts differently to treatment. Some patients will notice a reduction in their current breakout immediately after the treatment, while others may need a treatment course of six sessions to control their current breakout. Typically, most patients see noticeable results after three treatments, with an enhanced clearance and quality of skin after each subsequent treatment. To maintain the clearance achieved with the laser, patients should an at-home skin care regimen. It is important to understand that acne is a chronic condition which frequently recurs. While our treatment may lengthen the periods between breakouts, it is possible that you will need to schedule “touch-up” sessions if or when breakouts do occur.
How Long Will the Results Last?
Each patient will have different results depending on a number of factors including lifestyle, attention to skin care, hormones, and their skin type. Some patients have enjoyed acne-free skin for years after their skin was cleared by our lasers. Others have needed to come back after several months once another breakout occurred. There is no set period of skin clearance after NeoClear, but regardless of the length of time your skin is clear, NeoClear can always help to control your breakouts.
How Long After My Treatment Can I Return to my Normal Activities?
There is no “downtime” following NeoClear treatments. You may return to your normal daily activities immediately, though as with any laser treatment, you should wear a sunblock recommended by your skin care professional and avoid direct sunlight. You may experience a slight redness in the skin, but (if it occurs at all) it will fade within a few hours.
What Does NeoClear Feel like?
Most patients who have tried other lasers report that NeoClear is much gentler and more pleasant. Typically, you will only feel a mild warming sensation on the skin when undergoing treatment. And unlike other acne treatments, NeoClear has no side-effects. This means you will not experience dry, itchy, or tender skin. In fact, your overall skin quality and oil output will both improve, leaving you with glowing skin.
What Happens During the Treatment?
Before the treatment, you will need to completely clean your skin with a cleanser to remove any lotions, makeup, or other substances on the skin. This ensures that the treatment will be able to achieve the best results possible. NeoClear is typically performed in two steps. The first step is to cover the entire affected area. This step will destroy the P. acnes bacteria, reducing oil output and preventing future breakouts. This step will also improve your skin’s overall tone and texture by stimulating the growth of collagen and reducing redness. The second step addresses any active acne lesions. The laser energy will be concentrated on each lesion to reduce inflammation and redness, causing the breakout to clear rapidly, and reducing the risk of scarring. Depending on the size of the affected area, treatments typically take between 10–30 minutes.
How Many Treatments?
The number of treatments needed varies from person to person depending on the severity of their current condition as well as their lifestyle. To control current breakouts, it is recommended that a patient undergo a treatment course of 4–6 sessions. Once the active acne is under control, touch-up sessions may be needed to clear subsequent breakouts. Fortunately, the treatment can be easily performed whenever a breakout occurs.
How Far Apart are the Treatment Sessions booked?

Mandatory Preparation for laser treatment on your face include:
First and foremost, it is recommended that you stop taking Accutane treatments at least six months prior to the appointment, in order to avoid any possible side effects or complications. It is also important to be aware of potential sensitivities that may arise from being exposed to the sun or using photosynthesizing drugs, so be sure to avoid these at least two weeks before your appointment.
ABSOLUTELY NO RETINOL FOR 24 -48 HOURS BEFORE!!
Additionally, it is recommended to avoid harsh cosmetics and instead focus on using gentle skincare products in the days leading up to your appointment.
Most importantly, do not forget to apply sunscreen with at least SPF30 at least 24-48 hours before the treatment and address any inflammatory skin conditions that may be present with medication prior to your appointment. By taking these steps, you can help ensure the best possible outcome for your laser treatment.
What are the Pre-Care Instructions?
Before your procedure, it is important that you discontinue using any skincare products that contain retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide, for at least a week. This includes any over-the-counter products you may be using. We want to ensure that your skin is in the best possible condition for the procedure.
If you have any history of cold sores, please inform us as soon as possible, as it could affect your appointment. We want to make sure that you are safe and comfortable during the procedure, and we may need to reschedule your appointment for the future.
We also request that you avoid sun exposure, spray tanning, or tanning bed use in the week leading up to your appointment. This will help to ensure that your skin is not overly sensitive or prone to irritation.
While it is not mandatory, we encourage you to come to your appointment without makeup, as it will be more convenient for you to have it removed before you arrive to the studio.

Is there any Post care for the ACNE Laser Treatment?

Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun after the treatment, so make sure to avoid direct sun exposure and use sunblock to protect your skin.
You should also stay hydrated post-treatment, as drinking plenty of water can help your skin heal faster and maintain a beautiful glow. Additionally, it’s important to avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for the first few days after your Aerolase treatment, as your skin needs time to heal, and heat can cause irritation.
