What Is Microblading?

An Innovative Beauty Technique that will Change Your Life

Microblading is an increasingly popular eyebrow enhancing procedure that involves many different terms, such as Eyebrow Embroidery, 3D or 6D hair strokes, Featherstroking, and so on. The main objective of getting a microblading procedure is to emulate the look of real eyebrow hair by applying very fine, natural hair-like strokes to your brow area using a blade lined with sterile and sharp needles. Despite microblading comes under the permanent makeup category, it is not a machine-based procedure. Instead, it is carried out using a handheld and disposal tool that is dipped into pigment colors that have been chosen particularly for you.

It is crucial to remember that the pigments utilized in microblading are distinct from the ones used in traditional tattoos since they do not fade into unnatural colors. They consist of iron oxide-based compounds that are present in most makeup and allow the color to soften and fade over time. This implies that the outcomes of microblading are both natural-looking and long-lasting, requiring little maintenance.

Although microblading originated in Asia, it has gained immense popularity in the United States since 2014. However, it is essential to seek out a skilled professional like Shari Saint, who can execute this technique proficiently and efficiently. With the proper level of experience and skill, coupled with the client’s diligence in following the aftercare instructions, microblading can provide you with stunning and natural-looking eyebrows, making it unnecessary to fill them in every morning for hours on end. So say goodbye to the past, no matter what sort of eyebrow problems you may have had, and welcome your new life with microblading!

This is an eyebrow tattoo that is going to save you time in the morning and give you the confidence you need to conquer your day!

When considering microblading, being aware of what all is involved is essential. The process itself is a two-step process, which means investing time and resources into your perfect brows. Your first appointment will comprise of the initial treatment, which will take some time to completely heal. The healing process usually takes around 6-8 weeks and then follows your perfection appointment, which is scheduled for 7-10 weeks after your first appointment. This second appointment is called the touch-up appointment, and it is vital to complete the process of obtaining the desired results.

It is important to understand that microblading is not a one-time treatment. Going through both appointments is important for the whole process to complete. The foundation is set during the first appointment, while the second one is what completes the entire process. Every healing experience is unique, and so it’s not certain whether you’ll need the perfecting session, so it’s always good to have it in preparation. Most of our clients do not usually require it, and that’s why our touch-up pricing is separate from the initial treatment to save you money. All in all, it’s good to trust the process and your artist.

Combination Brows

Combinations Brows = Microblading & Microshading for the Perfect Brow

Combination Brows, also known as the Stroke and Shade technique, is a groundbreaking innovation in the world of Permanent Makeup Eyebrow Procedures. It offers a unique blend of the two most popular procedures to date, namely Microblading and Microshading. This innovative technique guarantees a beautifully natural, yet defined look that lasts longer than other eyebrow treatments. Trust us, you won’t regret treating yourself to this amazing brow treatment. During the treatment, both hair strokes and a powdered background are applied, creating a unique texture and depth to the brows. By feathering the inner brow with hair strokes, and filling in the body and tails with a soft powder wash, your eyebrows will look absolutely amazing. So why wait? Get in touch with us today to experience the magic of Combination Brows and elevate your look!

Microshading is a manual technique that involves powdering your brows with pigmentation, which can also be performed using a single needle and machine. This technique provides your microbladed brows with a soft and filled-in appearance similar to your favorite makeup. Using a sterile, single-use hand tool, our skilled technicians apply pigment in small stippling motions. The result is a stunning, realistic look that accentuates your new brows. Over time, the pigment naturally fades, but in a way that is similar to microbladed brows. With microshading, you can have the best of both worlds: a natural, stunning look and a subtle, filled-in brow. Thanks to this innovative technique, you can feel confident and beautiful from the moment you walk out of the salon.

Still confused between the two?

Answer some questions below to see if Combination Brows aka Stroke and Shade are great for you:

  • Do you fill in your brows everyday using pencil, powder or pomade?
  • Do you have old pmu that the fine hair like strokes of microblading may not hide?
  • Are your natural brow hairs uneven and misshapen?
  • Some times Microblading just isn’t enough. If you answered yes to any of those questions then Combo Brows is your path to WOW Brows! Enjoy the shape, definition and look you desire once and for all!! Book your appointment at Shari Saint’s Long Island Microblading Studio.

What are Ombre Brows?

Ombre Brows are a cutting-edge advancement in cosmetic tattooing that takes inspiration from your grandmama’s brow tattoo. Similar to Microshading, this technique utilizes a tattoo machine to create the appearance of perfectly filled-in brows. This innovative approach represents my top recommendation for achieving long-lasting results, regardless of your skin type or complexion.

During the process, pigment is gently deposited into the skin using soft, light dusting movements that create a subtle, natural appearance. Ombre Brows represent the pinnacle of modern aesthetic techniques, blending timeless artistry with contemporary innovation. It is an exciting evolution in eyebrow enhancement that offers tremendous results, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their look and feel their most confident every day.
